On her pregnancies: “Being pregnant with Harlow was easy. I was wearing heels for eight months. I never got sick and I was like, ‘Oh, what are people talking about?’ But with Sparrow, I was so sick. And my feet were swelling. They were polar opposite pregnancies.” On Harlow’s inherited passion for fashion: “She picks her own clothes. It’s a 20-minute thing – it begins at 7.30 each morning – but it is what it is and it’s fine.”

LA’s favorite celebutante boutique Kitson has been sued by none other than LA’s favorite celebutante Nicole Richie, and now they’re firing back with their own allegations. Majestic Mills, the company that distributes Richie’s Winter Kate label, alleges Kitson owes them $239,437 for the Winter Kate merchandise they bought earlier this year.

Kitson claims this isn’t a case of them not paying up — they say Richie didn’t hold up her end of the deal. They told Too Fab that not only did Majestic Mills fail to organize a launch event at their boutique, they also failed to deliver on the promise of a personal appearance by Richie. Oh, and Kitson maintains that the shipments were late and full of “inferior goods.” Ouch. In addition, they say they’ve been trying to return the unsold merch to Majestic Mills for a few months now. When Kitson told them they were going to donate the items to a women’s shelter, Majestic Mills balked, claiming that would sully the brand.

Nicole Richie has made her famous father Lionel promise not to date younger women – and she insists on “vetting” potential partners before they become regular fixtures.

The veteran singer is single at the age of 61 following two broken marriages – he divorced Nicole‘s adoptive mother Brenda Harvey in 1993 and his second union with Diane Alexander ended in 2004. The “Hello” hitmaker admits he occasionally dates women, but he’s not allowed to romance anyone the same age as his 28-year-old daughter.

Lionel Richie has revealed that his daughter Nicole has made him promise not to date younger women, and insists on ‘vetting’ his prospective partners. The 61-year-old singer told The Sun that he struggles to recognise women’s ages. As a result, he relies on his children to help him decide whether his new girlfriends are suitable. He said: “I find it so hard to distinguish women’s ages now. You see a girl walking down the street and Nicole will say, ‘Dad! That girl’s 18 years old!’ and I think, ‘No way.’

“My children have to vet (my girlfriends) now. Nicole said to me a long while ago, ‘Dad I won’t date anyone your age if you don’t date anyone my age. Deal?’”

Lionel Richie won’t know about his daughter Nicole‘s wedding plans until the last minute – because the socialite is convinced her famous father “can’t keep a secret”.

The TV star-turned-fashion designer is engaged to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, and the couple is rumoured to be exchanging vows later this year. But the veteran singer admits he is being kept in the dark about the nuptials, because he can’t be trusted to keep the news quiet.

He tells Britain’s The Sun, “I honestly don’t know (when the wedding will be). They won’t tell me because they know I will tell everyone. “I can’t keep a secret.” But Richie has already made his daughter promise not to ask him to sing at the ceremony: “I said to Nicole, ‘You won’t make me do anything cheesy like sing?’”

The Good Charlotte rocker can’t wait for his fiancee, with who he has children Harlow, two, and 11-month-old Sparrow– to return to work on US action comedy series ‘Chuck’ because it brings out her “crazy streak”. He said, “I loved her on the last one – I went by and saw her when she was filming that and it looked really cool. She gets to do all these fight scenes and shoot guns, and she really likes it.

“I don’t worry about her safety – she’s got a little crazy streak in her. She’ll be fine… It’s sexy.” In addition to reprising her role as a CIA operative on ‘Chuck’, Nicole has also been kept busy with the latest addition to her household, a stray cat she named Tabitha.

Though the 29-year-old beauty adores the animal – which she posted a picture of on her twitter page recently – Joel, 31, is not so keen. He told US TV show ‘Access Hollywood, “It’s funny that she posted that on the Internet. I was like, ‘Great. The cat is here to stay,’ because if it’s not, I look like a jerk that got rid of the poor cat.

“The cat stares me down everyday. When I was leaving to come here the thing stares and hisses at me, and I’m like, ‘I didn’t even say anything to you!”

According to Nicole Richie, she wanted a new look. On her Twitter, Richie Exclaims, “Let’s do a Makeover!” However, her new do is practically the same as the do she had prior to her brunette hairstyle. There is little doubt Richie likes the blond hair look. The 29-year-old showed off her hairstyle during a coffee run with hubby Joel Madden on Sunday and disappointingly, it didn’t look as dramatic as her Twitter picture. Absent from her coffee run were her darling children, Sparrow and Harlow. Richie also posted on her Twitter page a picture of a lock of hair on the ground and stated, “RIP long locks!” Considering Nicole Richie is quite a fashionista, her hairstyle will probably change again in the near future.
